In honour of an evening of programming about my hero Kenny Everett on BBC4 tonight, here’s the man himself in his ITV Video Show days, playing rocker Sid Snott. Watch how happy he is when he does what he didn’t think he could do, and then consider that he did it again in subsequent sketches!
P.S. “Tranny” in this context means “transistor radio”, the thing people used to listen to music on in public places before smartphones.
P.P.S. “Snott” is the spelling of his surname used on the back of the Kenny Everett: The Complete Naughty Bits! DVD, so sucks to you, Wikipedia.
